Is it fair to make the joke "A black, a rapist, and murderer all walk into a bar..."? No, it's not. Just because a number of a certain race may have done something wrong, it doesn't justify saying things like that.

Ripping on Catholics has always been a national pasttime of the US. You would be shocked by the number of people (not Catholic) that have been convicted of the same thing and it doesn't get reported. You would think that Clinton was the only person to have cheated on his wife by watching the news.

Uh, no. A given child has more of a chance to be sexually abused by Uncle Bob than a priest. According to the National Clearinhouse on Child Abuse, 29% of sexual abuse comes from relatives besides parents. About 25% comes from nonrelative or nonchildcaring roles.

I know that this is "just a joke" but I've heard plenty of "jokes" about ch1nks and n1ggers that decent people wouldn't repeat. This is the same thing.

Priests are humans, too. While that doesn't excuse them from ANYTHING, it doesn't mean that they are perfect and don't falter in their morals.

Having grown up in a predominantly catholic city, and having had some childhood friends taken out of a catholic parochial school to to father touchy feely, who incidently was never charged, only moved to another diocese to continue spreading the word of, I mean the a$$ cheeks of alter boys, I can fully say I laughed very hard at that old joke!
