A quick tip for those who may run into mixed IDE & SCSI systems

If your BIOS does not support large IDE drives and you must use a drive overlay program to install your new supersized IDE drive, you have to disable your SCSI BIOS, tell it to boot IDE first, turn off Int 13 support in the SCSI BIOS, and then you'll be able to install your drive overlay software. What a headache. 😛

I've found those drive overlay problems to be a nuisance. I've NEVER been able to get one working properly and I've had one that was working properly STOP working properly for no good reason.

Flashing a BIOS or replacing the motherboard is a much better option IMO.

(and yes, I run a mixed system)

My motherboard is a Dual PIII with an onboard SCSI controller, those things aren't cheap.
I'd rather not be using a drive overlay, but I'm running the latest BIOS and it's the only way to get this thing to work.
The drive isnt' even recognized in the BIOS...but it's working like a charm now.
