Just wanted to thank you guys for the links and the advise, Ad-aware did find gators taint, in the folders you folks mentioned as well, and it found a bunch of other crap in my system. If anyone else read the post and wondered about the results with Ad aware, i highly highly highly recomend it it works like a charm, really smart lil program. Thanks for the quick response and the good advise folks.
Also apparently hard drive maintenance isn't hardware related so the moderator heroicly locked my post before I influenced others to join me in poluting these fine forums with off topic conversation. Am am truly sorry for breaking the rules of this forum and posting so far off topic as to give the moderators no choice but to lock my violating post. I will make an effort in the future not to stray so far from the subject matter.
Also, as neither thanks nor appologies are hardware related, I realise that this post is yet another violation of these forums rules. Let me extend a preemptive appology, and please understand that I only wanted to thank the members of the community that helped me, and appologize to the moderator that put me back on the strait and narrow. I do admit I am knowingly violating the rules with this thanks/appology and I can only hope I can be forgiven.
