A quick RAID/Dual Boot question

I have two 60GB IBM 60GXP Drivers in a RAID 0 setup using a Promise TX2 Ultra ATA100 RAID Controller.

I have Win ME on C: and Win2K on D: - Dual Boot.
Win2K loads all fine and dandy. But on WinME it takes a pretty long time to get to desktop. It gets to a point where there is a blinking underscore ( _ ) in the top left corner. It hangs there for about 4 seconds, then it loads fine to windows.

I have a 3Com Ethernet Card has the 4th Boot Device, and I read somewhere that sometimes an ethernet card can cause the boot up to be delayed significantly.

Is this the case? Any ideas if it isn't?
