A Quick Question About the P180

So...I recently opened up my P180 that I got from Best Buy like 5 months ago for $79.99

Because it is an older revision, there is this big black block near the when I first open the side of the case.

Now...

What is that used for? And do I need it? When I recently bought a new P180 to see if it was a P182, it was instead just a revision 1.1 and it didn't have that big black block.

So...

Just wondering what that block does.

While I'm at it...

What are the differences between revision 1.0 and 1.1 again?

Thanks!

Ah yes, but in the 1.1 revision, they took it out. Something up with that?

It was a piece of junk so they took it out. Airflow had to make 2 90° turns to make it to the graphics card, it just didn't work that well.

Yeah, it didn't perform. Most people took it out and got better temps from less crowding, so they pulled it from production.
