recommend me a cheap good-old-timer motherboard for my brother's PC. I'm looking to spend $30-50, preferably $30~

my bro's PC just needs something that'd support XP1600+ (palomino i believe) and DDR ram. What are some excellent mobo's 1-2 years ago?
 
You'd be hard pressed to find a $30 mobo other than like a Socket7 or something. One way around that is the regular Fry's special that includes a CPU.
 
try posting this on the for sale/trade forum as a wtb.
i'm sure someone has one they would get rid of pretty cheap there

Some of the Yahoo Shopping sites are seriously shady, but this one is fine in my experience. I've purchased a few things from them as well.
