Does # of memory sticks matter in these new Ivy/z77 combos. IE is it still better to do like 2*8GB vs 4*4GB of ddr3 besides the obvious of being able to add more to the 1st option later.
 
From what I know it might affect your Max overclock on the memory side. I run 4 sticks in my old p35 board no issue 24/7. I would likely do 2x8GB if I build today and wanted 16GB but they do sell matched sets of 4 sticks for 16GB (4x4GB).
