A question

Why is it acceptable to show HUMANS being killed and mutilated and stabbed and shot at in movies, but not animals? I don't get this. Watch a guy get shot in the head, everyone laughs. Watch a KITTEN get shot in the head, and everyone says "OMG WTF I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY JUST DID THAT." And of course the movie studio would be shut down.

So what is this saying? That we value a dog's life more than a human being's?

Doesn't make much sense to me.

But kittens...come on. Obviously a human is more valuable than a kitten.

Depends on who you ask, really.
That should not be debatable to anyone. If you value a cat more than a human being you need your head examined.

I proffer that if you value a human more than a cat you need your head examined.

I proffer that if you value humans or kitties, you need your head examined.
Dolphins ftw.

So an animal with no feelings or signficant purpose is more important than an evolved being WITH feelings who was borne of a loving mother and who had family and friends that will mourn over their loss?

Don't know much about cats,eh? Humans are a dime a dozen, creators of their own misery. Kittens are cute and fuzzy.

They wouldn't get shut down as long as they weren't really killing the kitten or abusing it in some way...

I don't think I'd mind seeing more animal gore.

Because usually the good guy is killing the bad guy, and that makes it OK.

Who said either one was more important? I didn't.

Yah. Let's see. Cat's purpose in life, survive to reproduce to continue on the species.
Humans' purpose in life hm...survive to reproduce to continue on the species.
I also don't know how you're claiming cats to have no feelings (go talk to a cat owner).

A cat does not have feelings. They do not get sad, feel the desire for revenge, or weep. They do not mourn and do not get angry.

I own a cat.
