hi,
when you use the intellimouse explorer wireless, do you notice any lag in the movement of the pointer?

what i want to know is will i have pointer lag in games.
i want to know as i play alot of FPS games and pointer lag is not an option for me.

whatever you do, please dont recommend the razor boomslang mouse, as i now wont use a mouse for gaming unless its an optical one.

i have never noticed one. The only thing is that the mouse powers down after a while of not using it, so if you are spawn camping and don't move the mouse for like 5 minutes, you will have to shake it to wake it back up. other than that its a good mouse. the only other thing is that its uses 2 AA batteries so it is a bit heavy and takes a little getting used to, espically for me, because i came from an optical mouse (non-wireless) that was light as a feather

I never noticed any lag either. I am able to freely move this mouse since it does not have a cable connected to it.

I use nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries, so I do not have to worry about purchasing too many batteries. Four is enough. I recharge them once a week. It is a little heavy, but a little smaller than the first version of the Intellimouse Explorer which had the USB cable in the back.

hi, thanx for the replys.
ive just read the review of the mouse on madonions gamer hq. it says that with some batteries it emits a high pitched sound when in use for a while. have any of you had this problem?

Yah I have the same lag with my Wireless Explorer... the movement is also a little choppy. My big problem is my mouse powers down after an idle of around 5 seconds.... crappy if you ask me.

I've only noticed the "high pitched sound" in the older versions of the mouse. I have 2 of them, one I purchased when it first came out, and one I purchased a few months ago. The only one I hear a noise is with the older ones, and thats only with brand new batteries. My new one doesn't make any noise at all. Just out of curiousity, how many of you use mouse pads with the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer?
