Heres the situation, I have a wired router. I am about to recieve a laptop, which has wireless connection. Is there anyway I can use an existing wired router, create signal for wireless connection. I know I should get a wirless router, but I have a few old computers which doesn't have any extra PCI slot for me to add a wireless ethernet card. Any input appreciated. I currently have a linksys 4 hub wired router.

You would need a WAP (Wireless Access Point), which costs almost as much as a cheap wireless router (and often more if the router is on sale).

I suggest you find a real cheap wireless router. It's really the easiest way to go.

Also, we have a Networking forum for these sorts of questions...

you can get a pretty nice wireless router for less than $100. It is relatively painless procedure to set up, as opposed to rigging something up with existing computers. Probably wouldn't be much more expensive at all.

Wireless routers typically have 4 or more regular ports too, no need to put everything on wireless.

I found it pretty easy. Was my first wireless router. I actually had the 54Mbps, gave that to my brother in law. I did go to the D-link router for the 108Mbps. The Airlink stuff was easy to set up, especially for my first try at wireless. The only reason I went to the D-link was the faster speed at the time and it had a great rebate. If you get the one from Outpost.com/Frys, if you dont like it, just take it back. I have never had any problems taking stuff back at Fry's. I have never ordered from Outpost.com.
