a question of moral rectitude

I like a girl at school. She however has a boyfriend. I know she likes me because I've been told that she jokes to other people that we are having a secret affair. So the best course of action is to ask her to have a clean break with her boyfriend before I start a relationship with her right? A question of morals.

theoretically yes, but if you guys don't click she's screwed. unless she's already having problems with her boyfriend. go out with her sometime, see if you click and then go on from there. it's not like you guys will be grinding on the first date... or will you?

I wouldn't want to date a girl who has another boyfriend. It's not as much a moral question as a question of your level of intelligence.

Wait for her to get rid of the BF, then just do the casual thing first. Nothingg worse than dating a girl on the rebound, getting close to her, then her leaving for someone else.

some of the time. it's been good to me though. 🙂 nothing better than a f.b. relationship.

ulfwaldbrings up a good point. i guess it depends on what you're looking to get out of the relationship.

ps: is the boyfriend bigger than you? can you take him?

That doesn't mean she likes you. It could be she jokes that way, because it really IS a joke. I'm just playing Devil's advocate, so don't take offense, or get down about it.

ok, given the premise that she likes me(this i am certain because of other evidence in addition to aforementioned one) and that her boyfriend is a lot bigger and stronger than me, and that I don't want to deal with her boyfriend, the best course of action is to not do anything until she and her boyfriend separates.

I'm sorry to say this...but she might try to use you as a way out of her current relationship. Its happened to me before...it sucks.

OK, OK, What other evidence. I'm still gonna go with what GreenB says and I don't mind if you take offence, not that I'm trying to cause any. I would think that if she really wants to be with you she will be but until she makes a clean break I wouldn't assume anything. Maybe she wants to be fought over or is enjoying the attention. Personally, I wouldn't be looking for a relationship with a girl who likes two at a time, but that's up to you. It hurts to love and not have it returned so the idea of bumping another guy ain't something I'd want to do any more than having it done to me. Tow people who are unattached is what I'd wish for. Good luck

If you break the two up she can always use that against you later on in an arguement. You should just wait until they've broken up.
