Alright, I was on my computer and needed to do some quick division.

I thought about using the calculator, but decided that would be too much work, so I got up, crossed the room, hunted through my bag for my calculator, sat down, did the calculations.

Why did that seem like less work to me?

You didn't have the right tools at your disposal. I use Litestep, and lscommand, with a focus hotkey.
1. ctrl+~
2. =
3. type in whatever
4. enter
5. repeat 2-5 as needed.

There are free scientific calc apps out there, too.
...OTOH, I still rely on my TI-83p sometimes :)

Now, how the hell is that easier than getting up, walking to the other side of the room, hunting through your bag for you calculator, then doing them? :roll: :confused:

You'd be suprised what motor memory can do :)
