Lools like GeForce 6200CT/256MB performs very poor compared to SiS 651 with 64MB shared memory in some aspects. In my case, Java Swing performance is very poor.
The performance of Swing on your machine can be tested using JFCMark. You can download JFCMark from http://www.excelsior-usa.com/jfcmark.html. You also need to have JDK 1.4.2_08 or 1.5.0_04 (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp) installed on your. Some tests wont run on 1.5.0_04.
After extracting the JFCMark to your system, modify the setVM.bat and set the JDK_Home to refer to your JDK installation directory.
Then cd into LayoutManagers and run build.bat. Then run runHS_OverlayLayout.bat. Then please post your results to this forum. I'm getting very poor results.
