What do you find most stressful about doing the job? Have you ever had cases of anxiety while doing your job? Do demanding customers ruin your whole day? If yes, then how do you deal with that?

If possible be as detailed as you can.

Thanks in advance for all of those that helps out.

In my line of work, there are two forms of tech support. The on site techs, and the techs that walk employees through issues over the phone. I'm a phone tech.

I can't say I've had any anxiety in my job. For the most part, issues are straight forward. The best part is figuring out those weird, tough issues.

The worst part has to be one of two things. 1) You know for SURE that the end user is lying to you. or 2) Knowing that if you were standing at the machine, this issue would be fixed in 10 seconds flat.

Now my company is starting to use remote assistance widespread. That has helped my job tremendously. Before this feature, times could definitely be stressful.

For the most part, I really enjoy my job. And hell, they sent me to Hawaii this year, so I must be doing something right! :)

Hell yes. I've had to go out twice to Pentium-4 machines that were overheating because the clients was a laundrette, and the CPU fans were clogged solid with dust. :|

I think I'll ask if we can use that more at work, although technically we only provide hardware support, so it'd be of limited use. :(

Generally, I'm most stressed by customers who are ignorant, abusive and impatient. I'm happy to say that most of them have been in prior jobs- I just switched to software support for one app instead of the more general 'fix the damned thing you mindless peon' help desk.
