I used to be 250 pounds about 4 months ago. Four years ago (same height as I am now) I was 170.

Right now I'm 220, which means of the 80 pound difference, I've lost 30 of them.

I have high blood pressure. I've had it for about 3 years, ever since my weight dramatically increased. If I continue to lose weight and work out everyday and eat healthy, is it true that if I get back down to < 200 pounds my blood pressure could decrease on its own and my need for meds coudl dissapear? Or is that all false hope?

If your whole system was not completely messed up in the 4 years, there may be a chance to go back to normal operation...

Your blood pressure could definitely drop along with your weight, but as the other said, you should be checked out and monitered by a doctor while you are doing this.

I'll chime in with the see your doctor bit. It could happen, but there are so many variables and 'what ifs' there is no way any of the experts here on ATOT could say for certain what would happen.

Of course your blood pressure will drop if your fat percentage drops.
