A question for the girls?

This comes as news to me, and never noticed it.

But it seems as if *girls* can't wear their hair in a pony tail if in a dress.

Is this TRUE or FALSE?

They look better with their hair down anyway. I don't care why the rule came about:p

I'm trying to picture a girl in a dress with a pony tail that doesn't look strange, and I'm having difficulty.

Unless you're playing tennis.

I have never heard of that as a rule before.

but I suppose a pony tail is kind of casual and a pony tail would look ok in a casual dress. A nice sundress on a warm summer day kinda thing.

for a more dressed up look... putting loose curls in the pony tail and leaving whispy bits hanging around the face might work.

Dunno, i dont wear dresses or pony tails.

Yeah I agree... something with a little more volume than a straight pony tail.

funny thing is i never thought about this 'til now. but i would have to say having hair in a ponytail is a bit more casual, and would likely not be as appealing while wearing a dress.

I'm more concerned about why they would even be in a dress in the first place...especially if they still are.

Unless the dress served me cake. Mmmm cake.

Huh?

I keep hearing new fashion rules, and they just get stranger and stranger.

it is false, although the typical pony tail is not considered formal... BUT, there are a ton of sleek ways to wear it now. It can look very polished ans sophistcated if done right.

I'm right at home with tight jeans and a snap-on ratchet sticking handle up out of the back pocket. :p

<- Tom boy here.

Still have to "keep up" on this stuff regardless how silly. ;)

that is an OLD and very STUPID rule. for some reason, that was a rule in the 50, 60's, 70's, 80's... just recently have people broken that rule. As a matter of fact, white has been "in" for winter for a few years now.
Its all about how you wear anything. Ponytail or white :D

My fiance would agree with you on this. He likes for me to have my hair down and glassed on (I wear my c/l 99% of the time though)
