A question for the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi owners

I know the 5D and up are all made in Japan, but is the cheaper XTi also made in Japan as well? I went to BestBuy to check out the camera but they had a plastic anchor on the bottom that prevented me from looking at the information sticker.

Looking at the box of my fairly new XT, it says "Made in Japan." I would assume the same holds true for the newer replacement model (XTi).
