Those of you with 10,000 or more posts what did you do to get to 10,000? Did you get there through just normal posting? Or did you see mthat you were within reach of 10,000 so you started posting like a bat out of hell!
I will admit when i was within 100 posts of the magical 10.000 I stayed up all night posting nonesense(some would say thats how I post now) until I hit 10,000!

i got there through normal posting, i didn't post crap just to get there

and when i realized i hit 10k i made this stealth poll

but the mods saw through my ruse and locked it down

Normal posting here. I started here in 2001 when I had a summer internship where I was at a computer all day. I definitely came across here due to the hot deals section. Then I used the FS/FT forum a lot back then and eventually got into building PC's and stuff. Now that all that shit is dead here I just post in OT mainly since the console forum is dead, and go to P&N for the lulz.

Mostly normal posting... but the nef thread probably helped. lol. I just use that as my personal blog. I need to start making new threads for that and I might get my own thread like Mayne.

When the forum was much more active back in the early 2000s, I nef'd at work. It was easy to find new posts to respond to back then.

I am getting close after 16 years......no neffing....

is there anyway to tell who has taken the longest to get to 10k posts? am I in the running for that?? LOL

I was close to 8500 when I started neffing a lot on the neffing thread mostly. But otherwise mostly its mostly relevant posts

I dont remember but I remember got to 10k then I quit posting. Then some mod deleted one of my post or a thread or something and I went back down to 9999.

I did post a lot in the neffing thread back in... uh, 2004? 2006? Not the one we have now, the much cooler old one. Not nearly enough to account for all my posts of course.

Regular posting. Looks like it's not shown anymore, but I think my posts-per-day used to be around 7. Which for a while now is definitely more than I post, although maybe in the past year or two I get like 4-5? I only visit once maybe on the weekends. But earlier in my career I must've posted easily over 7 if I now average less than that.

It's been all quality posts though, that's one thing I have no doubts about.
