My annoying evangelical christian coworker got going and I asked him where gandhi is. He replied somewhat reticently that he is, in fact, in hell. Do you evangelicals agree with this?

 
Hell is not real, peopel are dead when they die, and those who don't believe in the Truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God will be resurected at the end of the Milenial Kingdom to be judged guilty and thrown into the lake of fire. I don't know what Ghandi believed in his heart when he died, but be evidence of his actions and speech, he will not gain entrance into the Kingdom of God.
 
Yes, they would agree. You go to hell if you don't know God. Hell however is just eternal separation from God. Therefore, if you don't know Him.. it's not a big deal to you.

you don't get sent to hell until the judgement that happens 1000 years after christ returns

so he is hanging out with everyone in limbo or whatever its called , i forget
 
according to most christians gandhi is in hell and many child molesters and murderers are in heaven because they were 'saved' before they died

isn't believing in hell a required part of believing in god and heaven... since u know, its all in the bible and whatnot?

Good christians know its not for mortals to decide where someone might be.
Only the big guy knows for sure. The rest of us can just hope.
