I just bought a AV-195TF monitor from onvia.com last week. I notice that there appears to be two thin horizontal stripes on my screen. Do you guys see this on your screen, is there a way to fix it, or maybe mine is defective.

Thanx

Check this Link Your monitor is fine. I noticed the lines for a couple of days, and only notice them now when somebody mentions them.

That is typical of a aperture grille screen, like the FD Trinitron tube which is what the KDS AV-195TF uses. Those two wires are damper wires used to balance the aperture grille wires.

It's something you'll forget quickly, all of the aperture grille monitors have these lines. Now that you mentioned it, I just remembered that there are two lines going across my Sony.

<<Removing my glasses also made them go away instantly>>

Oh yes, I like that method.

Haha...hehe! Ok, thanks!
Whew! I thought I have a defect and have to go through the dorn process of shipping it back and a calling customer service.

Thanks fellas
