A question about USB/Hubs.

Hi.
I just brought a USB2 powered hub for my pc.
Its plugged into one of the two onboard USB sockets on my mobo. My mouse is plugged into the other.
In the hub itself, i have plugged, a cable for my digital camera, and a cable that goes to my Rio600 DAP.
I was wondering if leaving the two plugged in would put a drain on my system resources. They are not in continious use bty.

I also plan to plug my ADSL Modem into the hub as well when i get it. As the Rio600 & the Camera will only be used every now and then, will leaving them plugged in slow down the ADSL Modem? According to Device manager, 23% of bandwidth is currently being used, even with the camera transfering pictures. With the Modem being a 512/256kb/s transfer rate, USB bandwidth should not be a problem, should it?

Thanks for the input (in advance)guys/gals.

PS.
DO NOT SAY THAT I SHOULD GET A ADSL ROUTER AND A NETWORK CARD. I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY FOR THIS OPTION.

I would think that your bandwidth should be fine. You won't likely be using all of these devices at the same time anyway. I don't think that leaving them plugged in would put a big draw on your resources. Especially if you camera or RIO is not turned on. It is my understanding that they aren't even active and recognized until they are turned on and you aren't going to leave your RIO and camera on 24/7. It should be fine.

When my camera is switched off, its not detected.
When my rio600 is off, it is detected, under the "universal seriel bus controllers" though, not under something like, dap player or multimedia device.
