here is the product link where i will buy it from http://store.yahoo.com/svcompucycle/surheafanspc1.html

i'm not sure what it comes with, but i have four 80mm case fans that have the 4 pin power adaptor. what else do i need to buy so i can use all four fans with this rheobus? and do i need to do any wire splicing? coz if so, id rather buy some power extenders and splice those instead.

plus are there any comments or criticism about this rheobus either positive or negative. i was originally going to get the vantec but heard many negatives about it catching on fire and what not?

they are out of stock on the 4 to 3 pin adapters, do you know of anyone else that sells these? is there any other way to connect it if i can't get a 4-3 adaptor?

If you have the parts you can make 4-3 pin adapters. kdc sells the parts, or you can also get the 4-3 pin adapters here.

The 4-3 pin adapters I received had black wires on each end of the 3 pin connector, and I had to switch them around because they did not get power to the fans. So when you get them first test them to be sure they work before connecting any important fans, like for the cpu.

The sunbeam rhoebus is far superior to the vantec one. I believe you made the right choice. ;) Only bad thing is the 3 pin connectors, sunbeam should have included at least 2 adapters. And the led's, they are very bright. But I have a door on my case so it's no problem. Just don't look directly into them.

I have this unit also and I think all of the adapter wires/plugs, etc come with it.

I am using 2 80 mm tornado fans on it at the moment and have a couple wires and connectors left over.

I have one in my Lian-Li, and it's one of the best investments I've ever made for my system. As a matter of fact, I also put one in the new system I'm working on!

You have the "deluxe" version with the LED's that change, right Chiz? Both of mine are the standard red version, but that's what I wanted! They ARE very, very bright!
