After banging Mrs. Robinson like two zillion times, why does Benjamin suddenly become infatuated with Mrs. Robinson's daughter? Did I miss something in the movie? Did he think to himself, "OMG! She looks just like her mother. I gotta get me some of that."
 
Because when he just had a mild interest in her daughter, the mother said to stay away from her. Ben keeps asking why and figures out it is because Mrs. Robinson thinks he isn't good enough for her, so naturally he become infatuated with her.

Pretty sure thats how it went.

So it's only because the Robinson's don't want him around her?
 
If someone with a hot daughter told you that you weren't good enough for her daughter, yet her daughter had some interest in you, would you stop pursuing?
 
At the end of their first date together, I think he realized that Elaine was someone who he could really connect with. He talked about how out of it he had felt since graduating, and how he had been acting not himself. I think he felt comfortable enough around Elaine to drop the charade, and that was what Benjamin really needed right then.

And it probably also had something to do with it being forbidden.
