Muslims say that it's evil to show an image of Muhammad. But everyone on earth is terrified of showing any images of him, and as a result none exist.

So if I drew a smiley face and labeled him Muhammad, would I be in the same shoes as Matt Stone, Trey Parker, that Danish cartoonist, and Theo Van Gogh?

Edit: Upon further elementary investigation, images of Muhammad apparently exist on wikipedia. How is it that they haven't been censored, beheaded, threatened, or otherwise had their balls chopped off?

Islam is a young religion that as yet cannot tolerate criticizm. This is why there is such a trend toward fanaticism, much the same way as the catholic church of the medieval times. Unfortunately in an age of global communication, they cannot be allowed such excesses of youth. The mainstream of Islam must begin to reign in its fanatics and develope a tolerance of those that believe differently. This would mostlikely happen in about 1000 years but I am afraid that before that modern effects of travel, communication and warfare will ignite many more armed conflicts.

The truly groovy thing about fundamental Isalm is that something like murder isn't the worst crime - insulting Islam is - that's why they go crazy. It isn't that they are just insulted by a photo - like a Muslim equivalent of Jesus in urine or something. Keep in mind things like rape are also ok if practiced against the right people
