A question about the 8800's and SLI and their connectors

I recently purchased an ASUS EN8800 and it did not come with an sli connector, I'm wondering just how would a person go for SLI if the card they purchased did not come with one?

Or is this a motherboard thing? i.e. you get an SLI connector if you buy an SLI capable motherboard.

Yes, it comes with the motherboard... Look at the package contents of the evga 680i; second to last thing is the "SLI bridge".
