A question about SLI/CF

Is it true that Crossfire can run more than one monitor?

Can SLI do it as well?

Its one of the main things thats turned me off dual vid cards, that and the second card not always kicking in (scaling issues)

Cheers folks

And what would the performance difference be between two monitors (on two video cards) and two monitors (on two video cards) in SLI/CF? Isn't the whole advantage of SLI/CF that two cards run one monitor?

I'm no expert on Dual monitors, but the Techreport has a page here on the new CF supported dual monitors in the latest Catalyst driver- what they did was play UT3 over 2 monitors in Crossfire mode which I believe previously was not an option on either SLI or Crossfire.

Dual monitors is not supported on SLi currently, this would be the one advantage ATi's multicard drivers currently have over NVIDIA drivers.

Your only workarounds with SLi using a 3rd video card or disabling SLi to drive the two monitors.
