Hi,

Is there going to be much difference between having RAMDAC at 300Mhz compared to it at 350Mhz?

Thanks

The 50 MHz wont do much by itself unless you're using very high resolutions where the RAMDAC becomes the limiting factor, which wont happen until you hit veru high resolutions and refresh rates.

However, one of the RAMDAC's may be of better quality than the other, which will make a difference.
Faster doesnt mean better quality however, a G200 for instance has "only" a 200 MHz RAMDAC, but its of very good quality and provides very good 2D quality, assuming you have a good monitor.

They are the same brand card, just different models, so I assume the have the same RAMDAC quality-wise. Yeah, I didn't think the extra 50Mhz would do much if your monitor isn't so good, and you aren't interested in being in super high resolutions.

Thanks

Unless you run at 1600x1200 or higher it's not likely.
(that's an estimate, but it has to be high)

Keep in mind there are other things that effect image quality to.
RAMDAC speed and quality are two major ones, but the quality of traces and parts between the ramdac and the VGA connector make a difference too.
