A question about PayPal...?

What is PayPal? I see a lot of people making transactions with this, and I was wondering what it is? Is it worth making an account? Do I have to pay to have a PayPal account?

Anything else I should know about it?

It a way to send money to a person very quickly. I think you need a credit card (I think I used a web certificate? Not sure...) and you can also tie in your bank account, to be considered a "verfied" account. It's very good for auctions, but otheriwse I don't use it much, myself.
