I have an old revolver. It wa PAINTED on most of it. NOT blued. I sanded it down with 550 grit. Now I need to paint it. What paint do I use, and how do I apply it?

Omg....It was factory painted. Its a cheapo ruger new model single six.
I own nice firearms. BAR Mark II Safari..... Rem 700.....
Just saying what do I do. I know I can order a kit and blue it, or send it away and get it blued, but do i want to spend more than i got it for? no. (got it for $50)

If it was factory painted, and you're going to paint it again, why did you sand the paint off in the first place?

Get it powder coated.

(If you MUST paint it, I have blued guns before. It's not that hard. Well the prep work is if you wanna make it look REAL good.)

Ive blued guns too. Hot salts. Glass beaded. Looks real perty. I dont have any equipment or anything. Just want to find something that will go on the gun and stick to it.
