A question about modern racism

I was browsing over the internet and saw several sites dedicated to the American Nazi Party. I thought that it was odd that all the sites dealt with white pride, anti-race mixing, and the ideals of racism. Isn't that fundamentally wrong.
The original Socialist Workers Party was the euivalant of a workers rights party in Germany. It wasn't until Hitler established his leadership did they foster any type of hate. Still, then, they were true socailist democrats, not just racially motivated. So why, in this modern age, does crap like that have room to exist? Obviously it is not a part of a political party like that which still exists in Germany today.
Are these people just dumb? Do they know what they are labeling themselves as besides racists? I doubt many share the idealism of the socailist democrat. I guess they're idiots to begin with, so whatever they call themselves really doesn't matter.

Oh well. Just had to ask.

well, we know that. I was more curious why they would claim to be socialist democrats when you know dam well they aren't.

Racism sucks, but there is not much keeping people from posting whatever the want on the web. I just amazes me how many ignorant A$$holes there are, that have no clue what being human is all about. :|

Racist ideas are not illegal. (free thought)

Communication of those ideas is not legal (free speech).

Actions as a result of these ideas can very well be illegal. (free ride to jail)

Ahh, life in these United States.

The answer isn't that they hate others. It's that they glorify themselves. This is afterall, "The Original Sin". Nothing good comes from fat egos. They have to be fed. It's more perplexing to me why people don't grasp that.

These people are a few who feel they are better, and alot of followers who are afraid that the way they were raised by their parents is really wrong. toss in a few psychopaths (every major group has some) and you have the nazi party.

Unfortunately SUOrangeman, that is the terrible thing about our rights. We need them to keep ourselves free, but with them comes responsibility. And some people cannot handle that. In my view, they are the losers, as they miss out on some of the greatest people in this world, all for the wrong reasons.

And Kabelego, to your question of why do they call themselves Social Democrats when they are not, it is because they have to feel important, and give themselves a title. They need to feel united under something, as they are too afraid to stand on their own.

I think it's deeper than the 'feeding the ego' notion. Some people really do feel that they are superior to others. I read something about the history of the olympic games (the modern games, not the ones in ancient Greece) and people attribute black superiority in sprints and many other events as them being closer to animals than to human beings. The sad part is that these 'superior' people still do not grasp the notion of hubris; their pride is empty because they are morally decayed in the first place.

Time to bump one of the oldest threads I can find. Funny how so much changes in 19 years. This was more of a casual conversation.
