A question about domain names and servers

And I have a server (it's runnin windows xp, and I have FTP set up via IIS, as would the web site be with IIS), can I host all my files and such from my own server? I have Comcast.
 
You can.. but it will be slow, and unless you have a Business class line then it's against your ToS with Comcast and they could terminate your service whenever they feel like.
 
If I remember correctly, Comcast filters inbound traffic on ports 80 and 21, so you wouldn't be able to access the server unless you ran it on a non-standard port.
