a question about Chester, the child molester

Obviously not all people who were sexually molested as children will become child molesters themselves, but were all child molesters sexually molested?

Should we feel sorry for these people?

It turns out a close family member was so molested and became one himself. This was done to him by the babysitter. I hope this person has a bad day every day for the rest of her life.

It's known that victims of rape, abuse/battering, and molestation usually end up unconsiously seeking out relationships with people who have similar traits as their victimizers. I.e. if a girl grows up with a drunkard father or one that beats her, she'll almost invariably be attracted to a guy who has those same tendencies.

As far as the molesters themselves, some were abused or molested as children, but not all.

I was molested as a 5yo by a neighbor... 2 teenage girls who tied my thing up with string and such. Had to go to the dr to get it taken off they had tied it so tight.

Can't say it's made me want to tie up little boy weewees.

I've never gone for the excuse, "he had a horrible childhood... was beaten/molested/yelled at/etc"
