If Osama was the guy behind these attacks, and they find him and sentence him to the death penalty, would you be interested in watching him die?

If some US Marines found him hidding in a cave like he is right now, they would torture him on the spot probably...

Nah, they have to do their job, they'd punch him a couple time sure -- but then they'll bring him home for the entire united states to see his sorry ass.

Public execution is a form of terrorism, too. I had once thought there was no harm at it, but then I saw its effect on other countries. Public execution leaves martyrs for the deviant side of humanity.

There are two paths to take in life, the direct and the deviant. There is no reason to terrorize the people that choose the alternate form of society. No reason to condone the deviants, and no reason to tolerate them in public. However, there is no reason we should be correcting people for what is done behind closed doors.

When someone does something so out of line as this terrorism on Tuesday then that is the time to remove the deviant from society. The truth is that most deviants are not harmful to society and many are actually necessary for the order of society to function correctly. Lets not let this terrorism change the basic freedoms of our country just because there are a few bad seeds out there.

not everyone has kids, therefore, that option is moot.

btw why do ppl want to kill him? i mean look at it, your giving him a express ticket to paradise or so he thinks, not much of a punishment. just lock him up in max security with our most dangerous convicts. shave him and pretty him up to become a bitch to pass around for the rest of his life.

I watched his bandits kill thousands on Tuesday. I would not only want to watch, I want to participate in killing him very very slowly. Then cut off his head and mount it on a pole in Time Square, along with Saddam"s head.

(I can dream, can't I?)

To those who wouldn't mind a public execution, please watch "Braveheart" [again] -- at least the end. Hopefully that will change your mind.

To the argument "But Wallace was a good guy, and Bin Laden is a bad guy!", let me say that that crowd also felt that they were doing a good deed by ridding U.K. of Wallace -- we, the outsiders, feel much differently.

I agree that Bin Laden did a horrible thing, but America (a civilized society) shouldn't stoop down to this barbaric level.

Nah. As much bad as he has done I think part of him really and truly believes he is doing the work of God. For the sake of society he needs to be done away with, but it should be done humanely just like we would do to any other criminal. You don't torture a mad dog before you kill it, you just shoot it in the head and be done.
