Folks I wanted to give a public apology to all here in the forum for causing such a selfish rutcus in the last few weeks....For this, I am truly sorry and I also want to personally thank the Anandtech Moderation Staff for giving me the opportunity to once again post when they could have very well just permantly banned me from this site. I take my hat off to them for putting up with all the tomfoolery around here by some of us immature types, mainly myself. They are the true heros because they freely offer their services to constantly keep these boards running optimally. I really respect the commitments they make here day in and day out. And for that alone, they truley deserve a round of applause for all of us! I would also like to publically apologize to Dartek themself and state the fact that I truly believe it was an honest mistake on their behalf and the 2nd offer they are posing to all to give the card away at their true cost is an extremely generous offer on their behalf. They truly do deserve consideration for all your computer business needs. I wouldn't hesitate to shop with them in the future for their prices are very competitive and they have a very knowledgable staff.I actually picked up one of their Gladiac Ultra cards....However, Most importantly, I want to apologize to all of you, my peers, and any of you of whom I am have insulted, slandered or even mentally stressed. Thank you for all the support email and requests you have sent me and I hope you can understand that I can no longer assist any of you in the pursuit of this vandetta. Without these boards, without the moderators, without these great deals and without all of you, none of this exciting communication would ever be possible....and for that I am thankful and happy to be back!.....Please embrace me as one of your own again.

Funny how you are so apologetic about how "wrong" you were once Dartek takes one up the *ss, because of your ridiculous letter. The baby stops crying when he gets some candy.

Sorry if I'm being an *sshole, but I really have a pet peeve about people who don't use common sense.

That said, at least you haven't hounded Dartek anymore.
 
Was washing the CEO's car also part of the settlement on the slander suit? Just kidding!! 😀 Just gotta remember not to bite the hands that feed us, and even the ones that don't. Never know where the next real hot deal may come from. 😉
 
I appreciate the apology but one wonders how he got from wanting to screw them to buying one of the cards at $478 (or whatever the at-cost offer was). The text of the apology makes it sound like he was about to be sued 😉
 
Where can I learn to be a mean person. I'm always too nice. Heck, just this afternoon I tipped the waitress 25% for just bringing me a glass of water!

Where can I apply to mean school? Is this a learned trait or does one inherit it?

As I wrote Dartek in response to their cancellation email: we all knew they'd made an error and it's sad some folks are giving the rest of us Geeks a bad name while grieving for a lost "miracle"!

Wangel, you don't want to go to mean school. they make you buy a puppy when you sign up. Then you have to raise it for six weeks. When you graduate, you have to eat it. Sigh.. I miss Sparky... :disgust:
 
I can only speak for myself, you have realised the errors you made, and I for one respect the comments in your post and forgive you. I tried to order one of these cards as well, knowing damn well what it was (an honest mistake by one of their employees), and I sincerly hope that person did not loose his/her job over this.
