I just have certain channels disabled via my TV menu :p

They don't show up surfing, but feel free to punch in the numbers and it'll show.

Works fine for me :)

Damn, That is a Lot Of Traffic
Friday, 25 March 2005
Well, it looks like Sam and I (Joshua Montgomery, the founder who wasn't mentioned in the AP story!) have hit the bigtime.

I wanted to take this opportiunity to make a few things clear to the public.

1. We don't believe in censorship. Foxblocker is a voluntary product installed by homeowners. People choose to filter internet porn, filtering FOX News is no different. It is only censorship if the GOVERNMENT filters it for you.

2. I don't have a problem with FOX News. If they would just come out and say that it is rightwing news for right wing nuts (wingnuts) we will take this site down and move on.

3. I don't care how often Bill O'spankme's staff calls, I am not going on FOX News. Stop calling, I don't want to hear your dirty fantasies.

4. We are having a slogan contest.....whoever comes up with the best slogan to replace the old (and untrue) fair and balanced slogan of FOX News gets a free t-shirt. E-mail can be sent to: support@foxblocker

=============================================
I remember we had a sort of contest or anti-Fox slogans going in here before the Election.

This is all nice but it's too little too late.

Yeah, if anyone has blinders on it's the extremists who think Fox "News" is news and not commentary.
This is a great idea!

These aren't really "fox blockers" they could block any channel you like.

Thats why they ask what channel you want it for.

From their site:
With every order placed, FOXBlocker.com will send an e-mail in your name to the TOP 10 advertisers at FOX News letting them know that yet another subscriber has opted out of FOX News. With a little luck and a lot of volume, we can shut the FOX up!
Yep, that's the way to do it. If you can't compete, try to shut them up. Can't stand them being the #1 cable news network, wiping the floor with CNN and the rest.
don't care how often Bill O'spankme's staff calls, I am not going on FOX News. Stop calling,
Translation: I couldn't carry on an intellegent conversation defeinding my views if my life depended upon it. So, I'm not going to let you make me look like the idiot I am.
But hey, if he makes a few bucks off of stupid libs that don't know how to NOT watch a channel, so be it. Heck, I have no problem NOT watching CNN, MSN(BS), CBS, etc. :p Of course, he's not selling a CNN/CBS blocker either. LOL!!

well...he is. Just buy blocker X if CNN is on channel X. If CBS is on channel Y, buy blocker Y.

I can see where libs would need someone to do it for them. Just not switching to the channel is a little deep for most of them.

I think that if they call CNN, they will order it for them - free! OOPS! May be CNN selling the product under a fake name. Will FOX miss a few luney libs? NO! Even their mothers wouldn't miss them.

LIBS LIBS LIBS LIBS!!!!!!

LIBS!!!!!!!

If I say it enough, maybe I can develop a sense of superiority with no basis in real rationality;)

SOmetimes I think Condor is about to say something interesting or thoughtful, and then he stops and makes a lame joke about 'libs this and libs that'. I really wish he'd finish the thoughts he starts instead, as many of us might actually learn something then.

If a Republican marketed this product, the word "fascism" would be thrown about pretty handily here. But it's against FOX News so at worst it's a bad joke, right guys?

Uh, no, it's funny in any case. In fact, I would laugh even harder if there was a product that only let Fox News be watched on the TV...for the righty who only wants "The Truth".

What's even funnier though is how much some of you guys are getting your panties in a twist here. I swear, half the reason I don't like the right any more is that you guys don't seem to have a sense of humor any more.
