I don't if it is me, or I am enabling SLI incorrectly, or if it either of My 8800 Ultras, but when ever I enable it, I get no increase in frame rate regardless of what settings are at. Im still tryin to figure out if this was the case or not when I originally bought my setup as after a reformat reinstall of XP, which i believe was accompanied by a driver update, i saw a drop in my framerates while running 3dmark 06, a 30% drop if i remember correctly - im not to sure about the time period of the drop, but i know it happened at one point. It has never gone back up since then and i have gone through every driver update possible.
But, another thing i have noticed from the beginning, August that is, is that when i monitor the temperature of both cards, only one changes when under load, the other sits idle and does absolutly nothing. Is this typical of SLI systems?
System Specs:
E6700 @ 3.5GHz
eVGA 680i 122-CK-NF68-AR
2x eVGA 8800 Ultra 612MHz Core clock, 1080MHz memory clock
4x1GB OCZ FlexXLC DDR2 800 PC 6400
any possible answers to this? Im gunna drop all the way back to Forceware 163.75 to see what happens. then go on up...
