Uhm, it's not a preview of the 760 chipset, they are just overclocking a regular kx133 mobo :(

Well we know it's not a preview of the 760. Anyone can see that. It's just give you a little look at what kind of raw performance we can see with the switch to the 133MHz bus without the added benefit of DDR SDRAM that will come with the 760 and VIA's 133/266 offering.

DDR SDRAM gives about a 30-40% improvement in most apps, according to a look Ace's took at a Micron chipset (the memory controllers are supposed to be nigh identical between the Micron and AMD chipsets). If you consider another 5% improvement from the move to 133MHz/266MT FSB, then a DDR Athlon system should be anywhere from 35% to 45% faster than an SDR solution . . .

Consider it this way . . . a 1GHz Athlon with DDR would be comparable to a 1.35 or 1.45GHz system with PC133!

The tests I've seen only show a 10-14% difference between a KT133 and DDR mobo.

If you're counting on a 30-40% by moving to DDR than you're probably going to be disappointed. Expect a more realistic 8-15% across the board, depending on the overall system.

Maybe Ace's was testing a P3 DDR board, I dunno . . .

It that PC1600 or PC2100, NFS4?

Even with a P3 DDR board, it wouldn't be a 30-40% increase. That's God-like :D
