As mztykal suggested in another thread, I'm going to dismantle my computer and time it's reconstruction! :Q Why? BECAUSE! See ya soon! 🙂 /me logs off

[edit] OK, I'm finished. The only problem was a RAM error when I powered it up, reseating the DIMMs fixed that. Let's add up the times:
Physical assembly - 6:50
RAM problem - 0:43
Poweron to typing this post - 2:37

That's 10:10 even from parts to post. 🙂

[edit] Pictures posted below

Make sure you wipe your hard drive, too. Nothing satisfies that inner desire more than a complete reformat..........

Its not the freshly formatted HD that I love, its right before it when you have everything backed up and you know that YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!! No need to worry bout lost reg keys or properly uninstalling with the bloody uninstall shield wizard, you can go it and kil half the dll's in the windows/system folder and it will still be alright. before you format, you have need to abuse your windows install to the max to make up for all the pain it's caused you!

Ah HA! Cheats! I See how you did it!!

* Notice the speed rails on the optical drives
* hard disks still mounted in a single cage.

12 screws saved.....= not completely disassembled.

I took the pictures throughout disassembly, not assembly. 🙂
And I did take the drives out of the cage/rails, but some of the pictures looked like hell, so I couldn't post 'em. You doubt my abilities? 😀 I should've videotaped it. 😛

I have to agree with your sig killbat. BTW whatever became of that centralfuge you had?

You're definitely way better than I would be at disassembling/re-assembling. I'd still be here scratching my head wondering why I had all these parts left over:Q

I'm better at the dreaded reformatting than I am with the hardware. Of my two PC's, I've reformatted both probably 5 or 6 times apiece. I just got done reformatting my little 386 again. Re-installed DOS 5.02, upgraded to DOS 6.22, re-installed Windows 3.11 (without any frills - it has precious little hard drive space), reloaded WinZip 16-bit so I could get Internet Explorer 3 (has its own dialer + small download), complete with WinZip & Flash plug-ins installed, re-installed Calmira so I could have the look and feel of Win95/98😛, and re-installed MoreSpace 16-bit, so I could get rid of duplicate files from the DOS upgrade😉 Then I ran DRVSPACE to compress everything, and MEMMAKER to optimize the memory, and I'm good to go🙂 Connected to the internet when I was all done, came here, but because I couldn't see half the text and it was slower than snail sh*t, I didn't stick around🙁

I need a way to speed that d*mned thing up:|

It works though.......🙂 -kd5-
