A possible problem with the Mozilla 1.2.1 browser?

When I have two or more browser windows open with the Mozilla 1.2.1 browser (in XP), and I close one, there is a three to five second pause until I regain control of the other open browser windows. During this pause, there is activity in the HDD.

So I was wondering, is this the normal behaviour of the program? If not, what can I do to prevent it, since I find it rather annoying especially since the other browsers I have install (IE 6 and Netscape 6) don?t do it. Thanks.
 
It could be a bug of Mozilla 1.2.1. The fastest way to find out is install Mozilla 1.3. It was released 2 days ago.
