Didn't know the "SEGA" chant took up 1/8th of the memory on the cartridge until a few weeks ago.

The development schedule meant that the feature had to be scrapped, and Yuji Naka decided to replace the test with the "Se-ga!" chant used in TV advertisements, which allegedly took up one-eighth of the memory of the 4-megabit cartridge.[22]

The "1/8" sounds about right to me. ROM carts were pretty storage-limited.

You know, it was on a lot of different cartridges of a lot of different capacities. Which were you readin about?
