Having recently changed my monitor to a Dell 3007WFP-HC I have noticed in a few games a little bit of chugging.

I plan to change my OS from XP64 to Vista 64 this week s most of the driver problems that I might face seem to have been ironed out, they can't get much worse than XP64 though.

So the question is do I go for another 8800GTX or shall I wait for a bit.

PS my system rig profile is up to date except for the monitors.

I would definitely wait...

Makes sense, the GTS cards have already dropped quite a lot, guess I'll keep my fingers crossed.

SLI in Vista?

It's bad enough in XP; nvm Vista.

If you have money to burn, sure, why not.

But i personally wouldn't.

Hmmmm, SLI in Vista is pretty iffy right now. For me, my second 8800GTX is mostly gathering dust and filling two slots I could use for something else.

In the new DX10 version of Company of Heroes, SLI is not even supported. I'd wait a bit since prices are sure to drop and theres a real need to improve running SLI under Vista.

Thanks for the insight on that.

I've made my mind up and will not get the second card just yet.
