A political cartoon that sums up pretty much everything.

How many members of the current administration served willingly in their military, and willingly went into combat?

BUSH/CHENEY 2004.

Dude that's ridiculous. Many on the left have advocated vigorous US/international intervention from Haiti to East Timor. The illustrator clearly has no real concept of history either. IIRC, the political right during the late 30s/early 40s was largely isolationist. It was the hawkish Liberal FDR that led America to war (post Pearl Harbor) and there were many on the Left (Jewish and non-Jewish alike) that were begging him to do something.

I'm really starting to wonder if people that call themselves politically right . . . can actually read.

Although we've come a long ways it wasn't that long ago that Korean and Vietnam War vets were considered 2nd class vets compared to WWII . . . you know . . . the real war. Anyway, the ONLY way Bushies can salvage some self respect is to claim Iraq is somehow a great struggle imposed upon America and we grudgingly went to war. Everybody and their uncle knows that's pure poo . . . just like that political cartoon.

If you really want to waste your time...Click on the link and drag it into the address bar. Wisked away you will be to a boneheaded illustration of misunderstanding.

If the D_Day cartoon was accurate:

Soldier standing on Higgins Boat: (To his commander) Um, where are the tanks?
Commander: We've got one, right over there. Opps, looks like it lost its track. NP, we've got 'nades. You've got a good arm right?
Soldier: Artillery?
Comm: They said we didn't need them, they'd slow us down.
Soldier: Planes? Rockets?
Comm: What are you, a sissy?!
Soldier: Wait! Where the hell are our allies?! They left with us from port!
Comm: They went to France.
Soldier: France?! Then where TF are we?!
Comm: Iceland. Hey!.. Looks like its your turn soldier! Off ya go! (push)
Comm (yells): OH, BTW...try not to get shot Private! Our health benefits got cut and the second wave pushed on to Greenland, some mean Nazis there! We'll swing by in a month to pick you up! Good Luck!

Funny thet neocons love to point out WWII and present it as their own victory ... but you should know, that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the leader of the Democratic Party.

So what are you trying to tell us?

Thanks Hafen, worked like a charm.

That comic's pretty funny, but I'm partial to this one. It also does some summing up.

Yeah, the Democrats are really a bunch of pacifists. Just look at the war record of the United States and see how often Democrats avoid war...
