I'd would like to see a pictrue forum where anybody who wanted to post and host their great pictures could do so. And does anyone know of a really good site for downloading scenery wallpaper at resolutions abouve 1024x768?

Truer words have never been spoken. The (lack of) maturity of many of the forum members shocks me, though it should probably not come as a suprise. :frown:

I wonder if the Moderators would consider putting a "No new forums will be happening" sticky at the top of Forum Issues. The only problem, of course, would be getting people to read it. As if.

Not only that but the picturehosting sites would be hammered and bandwidth would be hurting very badly...

i doubt thats really a concern.

You DO know how many hits and how much bandwidth AT uses up on a regular basis right? You're a regular in OT - you know what the AT effect does. Imagine what that would do with thousands of different pictures on different servers with thousands of users accessing those pictures every hour.

That'd put me out of commission for sure, if not a lot of other people too, as we're not all on oc3 lines folks..

Sorry for the lame idea. I didn't put into effect of how much bandwidth that a picture forum would use here on Anandtech.com. There's always Paulsonator.com that I can use for a picture forum. 😀 But does anyone else know of a good picture site that has really high res photos? I need alot of different pictures for wallpapers on student computers.

regardless, i doubt the people in charge go "hmm, pic forum, no we shouldnt do that, all of the people hosting pics for lots of other people off their home broadband connection will get hammered!". there are alot more important reasons as to why they wouldn't do it.

You're a regular in OT

:Q i am ??
