1) Sony Clie SL33
2) HP iPaq Pocket PC H1910

both of these are going for $299.oo at the local retail stores, if you have experience with these could you please let me know how you like or dislike them.

Toothpick, what do you want/expect of out of your new PDA, the two choices you have a both excellent low-cost PDA's, but they are powered by two differnt beasts, Palm OS & Pocket PC. :)

I have the 1910... It's an awesome PDA.

And personally, I much prefer PocketPC over PalmOS.

I prefer Pocket PC as well, but some people prefer the Palm OS because it's "easier & simplier" to use.

Thanks guys,
Well, since I am new at these little puppys, I couldn't really tell you the differance between the OS' but the reason that I was thinking about the SONY was because I have a Sony-707 digicam so I have extra memory sticks ;)

Having said that I must admit that the HP-1910 looks real saaaweet. Actually they are both very nice PDAs which makes it hard to choose one, hehe, but I am kinda leaning toward getting the HP :D

Thanks again for your help... TP

It's a no brainer, the HP iPaq 1910 wins by a LONG shot.

thanks RossMAN, that helped me make my mind up. Just a little while ago I went to Office Depot to pick up the 1910 but they had sold the last one early this morning...at least that is what the salesperson told me.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

You could have used a coupon and saved some $ (bangs my head against the desk until I knock myself out).

But before I do that, good choice and congrats :)

The V35 seems nice... But it falls behind the iPAQ 1910 and Dell Axim in benchmarks and also "quality" of feel.

But what really soured me on the V35 is NFS4 reminding me how NOT-popular it is, and how relatively very few accessories will come out for it.

The 1910 really rocks! It easily fits in your pocket, and you can take it anywhere.

(Now if someone would only make a plastic or nylon or aluminum case for it!)

The 1910 does rock but doesn't it cost a few Benjamin's?

How much did you pay for it?

Dell Axim 400 MHz was going for $225 a few days ago, pretty damn amazing price.

Where'd you see that price? I'm actually looking for a Dell Axim but they're not exactly easy to find.
