whats the difference between a pci graphics card and an apg one.

for example a geforce 4 mx440 on pci and agp , would there be a noticable difference?

i know that pci runs at 33mhz and agp is double at 66mhz.

thanks for any information

In a modern system, the AGP port is much nearer to the system core logic than PCI. And since the AGP port allows a much higher power budget than PCI, you won't find the higher performing solutions on PCI.

PCI devices have to share the (theoretical) 133MBps PCI bus, while AGP devices have their own bus.
