A PC150/PC133 memory question.

What is the advantage of having PC150 type memory over PC133 type? Well I quess it's faster.. but is there anything else? Because I just checked out the prices of PC133 and PC150 memory chips (kingmax) and PC133 is almost $100 cheaper.

Is the PC150 type worth the extra hundred bucks?

(if the prices seem to be from another world that's because I live in Scandinavia and I have to order the stuff from god-knows-where 😉

The only advantage for PC150 is that it is guaranteed to run at it's rated spec (i.e. 2-2-2 for example) on a 150Mhz FSB.

Unless you are "really" overclocking your FSB you don't need PC150.

i don't think the performance difference would be worth the price difference if it is going to be $100 more.

It's only faster at 140+ fsb. If your not doing some major fsb overclocking like John said it's a waste of money. Even then i find some memory such as teh mosel vitelic John sells in teh fs/ft forum is better than pc150. Just my humble onpinion.
