I'm trying to figure out the best system for me. Games I play are pretty limited to CSS/TF2 and WoW.
I also run a bunch of IDEs for developing various apps, Visual Studio, SQL managment, Flex Builder 3, Flash CS3, photoshop CS3, illustrator CS3. Any of those can go up to 400-500 meg of memory. Normally will have at least 2 IDE's up at once, but often 3.
I should eventually get a server of my own, but i run IIS with asp, php, and coldfusion on top
Firefox, testing a lot of pages over time eventually bloats to another 300-400megs of memory
I'm looking to keep my multi-tasking going strong and get rid of that delay when I minimize/maximize an app, switch an app to another monitor via UltraMon (run 3 monitors) or they delay when starting up an app
Xeons the best for multitask or is that overkill?
are nvidia quadro's of value here or just a high end geforce enough. (I dont do any 3d modeling work)
as this is my home office/play computer budget can be fairly high as I use it 12hr+ a day
