a part-time employee problem

I'm a part time employee of a telecommunication company. The fixed working time is W and F. Today the boss gave some reasons and asked me to be off work for next week. I'll lose two day's wage for that. Is it legal for boss to cancel the scheduled working time without a notification? I know it is ok for a contract worker, is this still legal for a w-2 officer?

You're part time so they can set whatever time they want for you.

I'm assuming you mean choose = lose

If not what two day's wage are you choosing?

Of course it is.

You're still getting paid, right? If so, I do not see a problem. To answer your question, if you're part-time then you're on "as needed" basis.
