A (pacifist) friend's idea on what to do with Osama Bin Laden

This girl is a harcore granola-head and pacifist type, and doesn't think we should kill the terrorists (heaven forbid). Instead she thinks we should capture them and put them in a zoo located near the WTC where passersby could throw rotten fruit and insults at them for the rest of their days, and admission ticket proceeds would go to the victims families.

While at first i thought this was utterly stupid, i'm willing to be open to ideas i guess. Anyone else agree with this idea, or do you think she's a complete loon?

What happens if they get out? Then we have all the worst terrorists in our own backyard. No thanks! Really these guys deserve to go on trial at the LEAST, with a death sentence preferable. IMO, we have been too nice to them for too long. The time for justice is NOW.

The problem with that is that other terrorists will take hostages and demand that we release their terrorists friends. Of course, if we kill the hostages, then the terrorists will kill more innocent people as "revenge". There's no winning with terrorists.

Lets say someone bound and gagged Osama, and dropped him on the FBI's doorstep. What would we do with him? I'm sure many Americans would want to see some form of public torture, but this won't happen. Would they execute him? If so, that's far too easy of a way out. Would they throw him in federal prison with his buddies from the original WTC bombing? Great, total isolation for the rest of his life, but he still gets off easy.

Pigs would be worse. I could be wrong, but I thought that they hated pigs and pork products. Maybe it's time for Operation Bacon Eagle. We fly squadron after sqadron of B-52's loaded with live pigs over the terrorist areas and let 'em go. Maybe we could also gather up all the expired bacon from supermarkets across the country and let them have that too.

i like the zoo idea. unfortunately it would be dismissed as being entirely unhumane.

i like her brand of pacifism tho, it's not truly pacifism. cause it still requires war to capture the criminals.
