I bought a DeWalt 235K this January, looking for a powerful drill to cut 120mm holes with a holesaw in computer cases (1mm steel). So I finally took it out yesterday to try 'er out. I took an old computer panel, attached the 80mm holesaw, clicked the ratcheting chuck 5 times. I took it out and noticed the deep impressions where the carbide chuck gripped the hell out of the arbor. Very nice. So I fire 'er up, going nice and slow, cutting through. Holesaw didn't even get warm. I'm almost there, so I gun it and apply light pressure. Somehow (possibly the fact that I was cutting 2 inches off the floor
) the holesaw got stuck, and managed to spin the drill around 3 times and shear off a decent-sized piece of metal. Oh well, the hole was pretty good
I guess those reviews weren't joking when they said it would rip your arm off if you weren't careful; I now have a bruise on my left hand
Moral of the story? Never forget to hold one of these beasts tightly... I wasn't thinking, so my grip was lossened. 'Twas the mistake
Well, at least now I know it can handle the job of a 120. Damn thing didn't even slow down
